Telehealth at Carter Family Practice is designed to feel personal, un-rushed, and connected, not transactional.

We use telehealth to remove barriers to care, not relationships. Visits are thoughtful conversations, not quick checklists, and patients are never treated like a number in a queue. This is modern medicine delivered with intention, compassion, and respect.

At Carter Family Practice, Telehealth isn’t about speed or volume — it’s about access without compromise.

Patients see the same provider and receive consistent, relationship-based care over time. Conversations aren’t rushed, questions are encouraged, and care doesn’t end when the appointment does. Telehealth allows us to support real people with real needs, while preserving the trust and continuity that good medicine depends on.

Telehealth is well-suited for many common concerns, follow-ups, and ongoing care needs, including but not limited to:

• Acute illnesses and minor infections
• Medication management and refills
• Chronic condition follow-ups
• Lab and imaging review
• Preventive care discussions
• Care coordination and next-step planning

If a concern requires in-person evaluation, we’ll guide you appropriately - because thoughtful care always comes first.

Telehealth visits are available to patients located in the following states:

Florida, Virginia, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware. Colorado and Connecticut will be available 1st quarter of 2026.

Care is provided in accordance with state regulations and clinical appropriateness, ensuring both access and quality are never compromised.
